Freeze Dried Chicken Breast

Sale price$25.00

A single-ingredient treat made from whole chicken breast, freeze-dried to a light, crisp texture that breaks cleanly into training-sized pieces. For pets that react to conventional treats, this is the simplest formulation available.

  • Ingredients: Chicken breast. Nothing else.
  • Suitable for: training, fussy eaters, dogs and cats on limited-ingredient diets
  • Net weight: 3.3 oz (94 g)
  • 85% crude protein — the highest in our range

Product detail

Most treats carry a paragraph of ingredients. This one carries a word.

We begin with lean chicken breast — no skin, no filler — and freeze-dry it whole. Nothing is applied afterward: no glycerin to maintain softness, no preservative for shelf stability. Freeze-drying accomplishes both.

At 85% crude protein and 4% fat, this is the leanest meat treat we make. The result is light and crisp, and a single piece breaks into several training-sized portions by hand, which makes it practical for repetitive reward work where portion control matters.

For owners navigating ingredient sensitivities for the first time, single-ingredient chicken is the most straightforward starting point available.

Feeding guidance

Intended for intermittent or supplemental feeding only. Treats should account for no more than 10% of your pet's daily caloric intake, with the remaining 90% coming from a complete and balanced diet. Fresh water should always be available. Individual requirements vary — consult your veterinarian regarding your own pet.

  • Cat: up to 5 pieces per day
  • Dog under 20 lb: up to 7 pieces per day
  • Dog 20–50 lb: up to 15 pieces per day
  • Dog over 50 lb: up to 25 pieces per day

For smaller dogs and cats, break pieces into smaller portions.

Storage and shelf life

Always go by the Best By date printed on your pouch — that date is specific to the batch you have, and it is the accurate one.

As a general guide, a treat this lean keeps well: typically 12–18 months unopened when stored somewhere cool and dry, out of direct sunlight. Once opened, use within about 60 days for the best texture and aroma.

Expel the air and reseal after every use. Freeze-dried products draw moisture from the air and soften if left open.
