Freeze Dried Scallop
The mildest and leanest seafood we make. Where salmon and anchovy are too strong — for the pet or for the household — this is the one that generally works.
- Ingredients: Scallop. Nothing else.
- Suitable for: fussy cats and dogs, pets on low-fat diets, anyone put off by fishy smells
- Net weight: 1.5 oz (43 g)
- Under 1 kcal per piece — the lowest-calorie treat in our range
Product detail
Scallop is very low in fat and high in protein, with a markedly milder odour than our oily fish. That distinction matters more than it might appear: many owners want the nutritional profile of seafood without the accompanying smell in the house.
At 79% protein, 3% fat, and under 1 kcal per piece, this is the treat to reach for when calories are the constraint. A pet on strict weight management can have a genuine handful of these and barely register it against the day's allowance — which is unusual, and useful.
Freeze-dried, it holds its shape and breaks cleanly, which makes portioning straightforward. It is also the easiest of our seafood products to portion for a cat.

Storage and shelf life
Always go by the Best By date printed on your pouch — that date is specific to the batch you have, and it is the accurate one.
As a general guide, at 3% fat this is among the more shelf-stable things we make: typically 12–18 months unopened when stored cool and dry, out of direct sunlight. Once opened, use within about 60 days.
Reseal tightly after every use.
